BOHEMIAN MOOD

Inspirations
We have entered the second main direction of fashion: here we see echoes of folk and ethnics of several countries. The first trend is a romantic one reflecting the need to cherish the beauty and experience the pleasure of wearing rich Bohemian styles with a touch of craft and art; it echoes old artisto chic and noblesse: country life in big castles and in mansions surrounded by wide land. There are traces of folk, with beautiful royal placed handcrafts, embroidery and border decorations; inspiration is also found in the arts, like Art Deco, the art of Leon Bakst, and in the richness of gobelins, carpets, and furniture fabrics.

Colors and Fabrics
Rich and warm Bohemian direction colours, quite saturated, contrasts with fresh whites; Rich, warm and soft, comfortable materials, with a ‘heavy’ look, like velvets, jacquard weavings with gobelin and tapissery designs; astrakan-like furs; astrakan fur-like laces and burn-outs; large border decoration, often with geometrics; motives can be placed bouquets of flowers as embroidery, applications.

Silhouettes
Bohemian mood styling: wide, or blousing/balloon shapes in contrast with bodyconscious shapes together in one design, in skirts, dresses and sleeves; Chemisier styling over underdresses; layers; decorative edgings, attached borders and, trimmings, large and small; fur and/or lace edgings.
