PAST´S PRECIOUS TREASURES

Inspiration
Contrasting to the chic Upperclass and Aristocrat moods, there are also retro moods, more peasant-like, the clothes for ‘normal’ hard working people, the ‘idealized’ good, healthy and romantic countrylife! Great great grandma’s ancient white linen laundry, lingerie, nighties, shirtwaisters and underwear; fresh, crisp and clean, often washed, a bit discolored by time; the most precious, ingenious little handworks of romantic lace and crochets, bobbin lace work, her handmade table clothes or handkerchiefs; they are the kind of folk-refined products, that mass production machines can’t produce anymore today … Lost memories which awaken the desire to cherish every vintage peace….

Colors and Fabrics
Mostly the Non Colors from our fall/winter color vision and the ‘Enlightenment’ colors from the summer color directions. Strips, straps and stripes, lace borders in different variations, all together, horizontal and vertical; point laces; crochets, à-jour, broderie anglaise and laser cut translations…. Old fashioned underwear knits and tricots, with intarsia zones; openwork, romantic edgings; jacquards; modern techniques such as laser cut and seamless-knit translations in old fashioned style.
Small little floral motives, geometric motives, folk decoration.
Not many prints, if so, combinations with lace, embroidery and/or crochets composé’s in small little floral motives, fields and country-styles, 18th century interior and wall-paper stripes and flowers. Old fashioned bed laundry stripes for sportswear cottons.

Silhouettes
Loose, quite wide silhouettes, often in layers, soft round, bulb shapes for skirts, slips, dresses, also nighty style dresses, lingerie ‘under dresses’ over woven  daywear dresses;  loosely knitted camisoles, bodies; ruches, frills.

Corsetry accessories, corsetry hooks, little buttons and little loops or eyelets.
