Inspirations
Sportswear, street-, casual and leisure wear is of less interest this season (except comfortable lounge wear); people like to ‘dress up’. Fashion for active sports is totally into ‘Retro’, and looks quite preppy and dressed up with integrated formal styling details like ties, classic sweaters and polo’s with woven shirt collars! Also uniform details are important here. Inspiration is found in long time ago 30ies, 40ies and 50ies elite sports, high class college and university campus sport styles and nostalgic picnics.
Further inspiration comes from the typical 60ies first synthetic and stretch training outfits and the classic bold color blocking styles.

Colors and Fabrics
Energizing or classical colors with fresh white and contrasting black; although the atmosphere is quite retro, the futuristic innovative breathing, energizing, climate control, skin and health care textiles are indispensable and of top quality. Freedom of movement with Dorlastan is a must. For some active sports there are several styling variations; huge blown-up graphic plays with classic checks and other weaving motives fit in this trend; unusual colors for typical Burberry classics are hot! Classic sport stripes are often used diagonally and twisted, or are out of proportion. Tennis white with contrasting placed stripes or borders or even with lace!

Silhouettes
Twisted classic styling; active sport color blocking and contrasting graphic areas combined with formal tie, classic pockets; woven ‘stiff’ white collars to tricot polo’s instead of a knitted border! 60ies, 70ies training-sets inspiration, slim and body accenting; contrasting black; bold graphic movements and plays with lines; unusual color blocking and placing of areas, modern translation into seamless!
